-follows behind Breezewhisker, his long, soft grey fur matching the dark, gloomy clouds above their heads. His large, fluffy tail swishes gently behind him, and his ears twitch uncomfortably as a drop of rain splatters onto them- ...Yeah, I know. -Stays silent for a moment, his voice a lot more quiet and uncertain than it had been in camp- Am I gonna be like Dovefoot when I’m a warrior? Like, always grumpy and never wanting to do anything fun? -pauses again, avoiding Breezewhisker’s gaze- Wh-What if I don’t wanna be a warrior anymore?
-stops, his eyes widening- No, no, that's not what I meant, sorry! Dovefoot's always been like that, even when he was an apprentice. And you're...you know, not like him at all, so... -purrs uneasily- I don't think you're going to be like that anytime soon. -starts walking again- And, and it's not like you're never going to be able to have any fun or anything like that, it's just...I don't know, I guess I got a little worried you might not be ready. I'm sorry. -glances back at Pigeonpaw- You'll make a good warrior, okay? And when you have apprentices of your own, I'm sure they'll appreciate having someone they can mess around with.
-nods- Yeah, really. My mentor was more like Dovefoot than anything. I would have loved having someone like you as a mentor when I was younger. -purrs-
-purrs, his whiskers twitching happily- I can’t wait to have an apprentice!! We’ll have so much fun together— -pauses, then frowns, clearly trying to act more serious- A-After we finish fighting and hunting and stuff. And they’ll be the best warrior in the entire Clan! -looks up at Breezewhisker again, tilting his head- But we’ll still get to hangout together, right? You and me? After I become a warrior, I mean. We’ll still get to play and stuff sometimes?
-nods, purring in amusement- Yeah, of course. If you ever want to hang out, I don't think Snowthroat would mind if you came on border patrols and hunting patrols with me. If I ever get another apprentice, I promise I'll let you help train them, too.
-purrs louder, rubbing his head affectionately against Breezewhisker’s side- You’re the best, Breezewhisker! The best warrior in the whole Clan— No, in the whole entire forest!!
